She has spent most of her career at Sunhaven nursing home and transferred with the building to McGarrell Place in London. Breanne Woodley

    Director of Culinary Services

At a very young age I knew Long Term Care was my passion. From volunteering at the Tuck Shops, assisting with resident outings, companion to appointments even hosting the millennium party I took part in everything I could. I started working at Versa Care Lambeth in 1999 as a Dietary Aide, a Cook and filled in for the Nutrition Manager. I enjoyed my roles and responsibilities so much I completed the Food Nutrition and Management Program and became a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management. A food first philosophy is my goal. The quality of food and presentation is most important to our residents as mealtime may be the highlight of their day. Socializing in a pleasant, non-rushed environment as well as being treated with respect and dignity is what our residents deserve and expect with every meal. I look forward to enhancing the resident's dining experience at Middlesex Terrace. Another passion of mine is my daughter who loves all things soccer, swimming and challenging me everyday.

      Katrina Preece, RPN

      Clinical Services Manager

I was born and raised on a farm in Brigden, Ontario, I am the oldest of 4 children. As a teenager I always wanted a profession that could help people. I attended St. Clair College in Chatham and graduated from the Practical Nursing Program in 2009. I have spent all of my career in Long-term Care at various homes throughout Sarnia and London. I have worked at Middlesex Terrace since September 2010, as a Registered Practical Nurse on the floor, at this time I moved to London.

My areas of interest are in Palliative Care and Behavioural Supports. I love to teach and share the information I have learned over the years. I enjoy working with the elderly and their families. I also enjoy the scenic drive to work and the country setting this home provides.

        Rachel Dent, RN

        Director of Clinical Services

I grew up the oldest of 5 children on a farm in Brighton, Ontario. I have always enjoyed taking care of people, and knew that I wanted to be a nurse from a very young age. I still have a paper that I wrote when I was 9 titled “Why I want to be a Nurse”. My plan was to become a missionary in a third world country, but soon after graduating I met and married my husband, settled down and began moving around Ontario with our 4 children and my husband’s job in banking.

I began my career in Long Term Care as a housekeeping/laundry/dietary aide at the age of 14 in a Retirement Home. After working in various retirement/group home settings as a student, I began nursing as a new grad at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on a veteran’s unit, and shortly after started at my first LTC home in Campbellford, Ontario as evening charge nurse. In between having children, home schooling and moving multiple times for my husband’s work, I continued to work at Nursing Homes across Eastern Ontario in various roles, gradually taking on leadership positions of Quality Improvement, RAI Coordinator, and Assistant Director positions until moving to London a year and a half ago and starting my first Director’s position at another London Long term care home. I have always enjoyed working with the senior population, and am excited to continue on at Middlesex Terrace!
